Training modules

• Intraosseous (IO) / “bone marrow puncture,” proximal tibia: Landmarking just medial to the tibial tuberosity on the anteromedial surface; realistic cortical “pop,” marrow/flush aspiration confirmation, infusion and line securing.

• Femoral venipuncture/cannulation: Anatomy of the femoral triangle (artery–vein alignment medial to the pulse); needle insertion, guidewire passage (Seldinger), dilatation and catheter placement with flashback and continuous flow.

Functional features

• Palpable landmarks (tibial tuberosity, patella, medial malleolus; inguinal/femoral region).

• Self-sealing skin; replaceable tibial bone core and venous tubing.

• Pressurised reservoir for venous blood return/bleeding control; Luer-lock ports.

• Femoral venipuncture: pulse localisation, vein entry medial to artery, wire control, dilator use, catheter fixation, complication management (hematoma, arterial puncture, extravasation).
